Chimichurri is traditional spice blend of South and Central America often used as a seasoning or garnish for grilled meat. Our Chimichurri Blend has all of the spice components needed to create an authentic Chimichurri sauce, including the finest sea salt, and a blend of herbs and spices.

Suggested Uses

  • Use as marinade
  • Whisk into olive oil and vinegar for a salad dressing
  • Use as topping for meat poultry, fish and vegetables

Basic Preparation

Rehydrate 1 tablespoon Chimichurri blend in 1 tablespoon water, then whisk vigorously into 2 tablespoons olive oil.


Chimichurri Rubbed Flank Steak

3/4 cup Chimichurri Blend

6 tablespoons water

3/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

3 pounds flank steak

Mix Chimichurri Blend, water, olive oil and red wine vinegar in large bowl. Transfer 1/3 of mixture to a

small bowl and set aside.

Add flank steak to large bowl and toss to coat on both sides.

Cover bowl, and place in fridge for at least 1 hour, and up to 4.

Heat a grill over medium-high heat.

Remove steak from marinade, and place on grill

Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until browned on bottom.

Flip, and brown on the other side, 4 to 5 minutes, or until a meat thermometer registers an internal

temperature of 130°F.

Remove flank steak and let rest for at least 5 minutes.

Thinly slice steak against the grain.

Serve with reserved chimichurri sauce.

Makes 4 servings

Whisk it with olive oil and vinegar to create an herbaceous marinade for flank steak. Some reserved

marinade also does double duty as a satisfying steak sauce.
